Not to make an idol for others (Lev. 19:4)

1

a group of people working in a barn

–          he doesn’t let us in the sanctuary

–          he says it’s for our own good

–          he says he keeps G-d in there

–          says that G-d is three feet tall and lives in a copper box

–          and the copper box is locked with a silver key

–          he says we can see the box from time to time but not G-d inside

–          do i get to see inside the box?

–          we can take the box and parade it around but we cannot open it

–          and we cannot go in the sanctuary

–          he says it’s for our own good

–          he says G-d if we really saw G-d it would obliterate our senses

–          he said i would get see G-d if i came here

–          says we can’t handle it until he says

–          he says we’ll be ready soon but not yet

–          he says one day we’ll be ready

–          i’ve seen inside the box

–          no you/ haven’t

–          i didn’t know that

–          i have i’ve seen G-d

–          she’s/ lying

–          what does G-d look like?

–          a miniature falcon with legs of a lion and the tongue of a snake
a net woven of feathers and eyes
the fading dusk on a clear winter night

–          did you cry? i think i’d cry

–          seeing the real thing it really changes you

–          i don’t want to see

–          you do

–          i don’t want to see G-d if it really is G-d in the copper box

–          we/ all want to see

–          it really really is G-d

–          he says we need to see inside eventually

–          he says it’s for our own good

–          he says that’s why we’re here to prepare ourselves

–          we need to prepare ourselves but when we’re ready we must open the box

–          if i can meet G-d then what’s the point of G-d?
if i can open a box and G-d’s inside what’s the point of faith?
            i don’t want a three-foot G-d
            a falcon G-d a G-d of feathers and eyes
the only G-d worth imagining is the one we can’t imagine

–          he says it’s for our own good

–          he says one day we must
